日本語会話パートナーについて (Conversation Partner Program)

日本語会話パートナー

同志社の学生と会って、日本語で話しましょう♫

The Japanese Conversation Partner Program is designed to provide AKP students with more opportunities to practice Japanese in real life settings outside the classroom by having conversations with Doshisha students.  You will be paired with one of the Doshisha volunteers, based on your interests, time schedule, etc.

You and your Japanese language partner are expected to meet somewhere on campus (or off campus if you two prefer) and have a conversation for about an hour (at least 30 minutes) once a week.

How you spend the time with your partner is up to you and your partner as long as you are speaking in Japanese. The Japanese language partner is intended to be neither your tutor nor your designated friend. You may find sometimes it difficult to carry on conversations with your partner. In that case, it might be a good idea to prepare some conversation topics in advance, such as your classes (both Japanese and elective courses), what you find interesting or hard to understand in your home stay, current events in Japan and/or in your country. Please bear in mind that Doshisha volunteers are not only willing to help you practice Japanese but also are expecting to learn something from you.
